South Texas Parrot Place is a small "hobby" aviary in Laredo, TX. It consists of 10 Indian Ringnecks, 2 Alexandrines,
10 Cockatiels, 4 Zebra Finches, 2 Lovebirds, 12 Budgies, 2 Solomon Island Eclectus, and 1 Nanday Conure. Well,
these are all just birds that I own, I don't sell any (yet!!!).
I got my first bird in 1990 ( a Budgie for my 6th birthday). I started being serious about collecting
birds about 2 1/2 years ago. I bought a green Quaker Parakeet that stole my heart. Soon after that I got a pair
of Cockatiels, which bred and successfully raised 5 babies. I was HOOKED!!! This is the first year that I will
be breeding Indian Ringnecks and Eclectus Parrots. I have been studying up on Ringneck genetics and have developed a
great passion for these birds.
